I have been going to the Ridge
for all of my soon to be 40 years. This church was my Grandma and
Grandpa's church on my Mother's side. My Mother's whole family use to
go here before they dispersed to other area churches due to marriage or
college. When my Mother and Dad were married Dad switched from the
Hollowtown Church of Christ to the Ridge. Since then, this church has
become my home church. I now live about 15 miles away with my family
and have thought about changing to a closer church but can't seem to
leave my church that has so many memories of my Grandparents and now my
parents have created. Most of my immediate family still attend church
here with the exception of 2 of my brothers that live more than 40 miles
away and they attend church at their locations. So as you can see, it
is still my family's home church. I also have cousins that attend
our church It is a small cozy church with alot going on. We are all
family here even though we do not share the same last names.

I started attending the Ridge
some when Steve and I started dating in 1998. I think I changed my
membership in 2000 to the Ridge. This church means so much to me. It
is so much like the small church I grew up in, and I am so proud to raise
my children in the same kind of church.
Our church is like a small
family and we look out for each other during the good and bad times. I just
know that I can count on so many people if I need them for ANYTHING and
they would be there for me. Thanks Sugartree Ridge Church of Christ
for making me feel so welcome 8 years ago and thanks to Drue for his hard
work and dedication to the church. You are truly a wonderful testament
to your faith!!

I have been attending the Sugar
Tree Ridge Church of Christ going on 30 years now. I have grown up in
the church, and have many fond memories here.My Grandma and Grandpa
Emery (Harry and Marie) would always sit right behind us, and Grandpa would
thump us on the head if we were acting up. This Church has been a cornerstone
for my family for a long time, and God willing, will be for my children as well.

I love the Ridge! I reminds me
of my home church, with its “Big Dreams in a Small Town” feel. The
people are great, and have made us feel right at home from day one, and
we look forward to many years of ministry here. Over the past six years
we have met many life-long friends, and the potential to build the
Kingdom is great. We have a lot to offer even for a smaller church, and
this is a wonderful church to bring your kids up in.

I was born in Sugar Tree Ridge
and grew up there. The only church I ever attended regularly was the
Sugar Tree Ridge Church of Christ. There are so many memories there.
Both of my grandmothers had passed away before I was born so I adopted
many "grandparents" in the church of whom all are gone now, but I hold
such precious memories. The church at the Ridge has always been a
"family church" meaning one that families grew up in and passed on to
the next generation but more importantly they were a "church family"
where you knew everyone, you felt their pain and their happiness and
they felt yours. When you needed something you just went to your
"church family" and you always found the help you needed. I was
baptized in this church, my mom was the Nursery class teacher ever since
I could remember and Daddy was an elder and treasurer of the church for
many years. My "big" sister played piano and then organ and of course I
followed in her footsteps. My oldest brother was a Timothy of the
church and has been missionary in Europe and preached for many years and
my sister has married a great minister. I believe this has all been
influence by the "church family" here at the Ridge. God has been our
common bond and as long as we keep him first in our lives, the church
will live on to generations to come. It has survived some bad times but
so many good times as well. What memories!! and still making more
memories to come.
