What we believe

What We Believe and Teach
Who is God?
God is the creator, sustainer and redeemer of all things. He is the one God showing  Himself in three distinct persons – Father, Son and Holy Spirit. All three  have the same nature, are co-equal and co-existent. God the Father loves all of us and desires that we have a relationship with Him through his Son. (Genesis 1 & 2; John 14:15-21;  Romans 8:19-22; John 1:1-18, 14:6)

Who is Jesus?
Jesus Christ is God’s Son and was sent to save the world from sin. Jesus came as a man and was God in the flesh, and demonstrated this through many signs and miracles. He gave His life for the sins of the world by dying on the cross. Jesus then rose again on the third day and took away the "sting" of sin.
(John 3:16; Matthew 1:18-25; John 1:1-18; John 20:24-31; Acts 1:4-11)

Who is The Holy Spirit?
The Holy Spirit is the unseen  manifestation of God  working in the world. The Holy Spirit makes us aware of sin and  proves our need for Jesus Christ.
The  indwelling of the Holy Spirit then provides the Christian with strength, comfort, understanding and guidance.  (John 16:5-11; Acts 2:38; John 14:15-27; Galatians 5:22-25; 1 Corinthians 12:1-26)

What is the Bible?
The Bible is God’s inspired  message to all mankind, written through human authors under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.  The Bible is the full revelation of God’s plan for our lives, and provided practical help and instruction for our daily lives. (2 Peter 1:20-21; Romans 15:4; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; Hebrews 4:12-13)

How am I saved?
We are saved by God’s grace through faith in Jesus, the Son of God. Nothing we try to do on our own can take away our sins. Jesus pay for our sins in full through His death on the cross. This “good news” of forgiveness of sin and promise of eternal life is offered to all. (Ephesians 2:4-9; Romans 3:21-26; 1 Timothy 2:3-4)
The Bible teaches that  we must believe in Christ as God’s Son and Savior of the world, repent of personal sin, confess Christ as Lord, and be immersed in baptism.  (Luke 24:45-47; Acts 2:38; 8:12; 10:47-48; Romans 6:1-7; 2 Peter 3:9; Ephesians 2:4-9)
